This course is designed to prepare you for the TASC (High School Equivalency) exam. Five subject areas will be covered, with primary focus on reading, writing, and math skills. Participants will work together as a class, in small groups, and independently in consultation with the instructor. The time you spend outside of class will be as important as the time we spend together. Cumulative learning—developing your understanding of subjects, thinking critically and analytically about the meaning and context of what you are studying, and paying attention to how you learn, in addition to practicing with test-type questions—will help you prepare both for the exam and for future learning endeavors.
